One of the secrets behind our incredibly high quality jewellery casting

Yes, the Responsible Casting Co. was created because we became disillusioned with being told that the gold we were buying was ethical when, in reality, casting houses often had no idea where it was coming from. And yes, our aim is to bring ethics, care, collaboration and transparency to a space which has too often been closed, opaque and outdated.

But, we were also fed up of seeing build lines and unwanted texture on every piece coming from casters, so now, alongside standard wax, we mostly use a high wax resin and photopolymer material when printing your CAD files. This materials, called EasyCast, has been developed specifically for investment casting. These prints have far fewer and much finer build lines, this supports detailed designs and reduces any casting defects, making cleaning up quicker and more efficient. While technically demanding, the high wax content allows for clean burnout and predictable results. The casting achieved from this is incredibly smooth and saves lots of time and money on finishing.

It is one of the best quality materials used in jewellery casting and helps distinguish the best jewellery casting in terms of clean up and craftsmanship. This, alongside our other casting methods, yields the finest detail, making our services perfect for large pieces and intricate designs alike.

We see casting as an integral part of the making process and always want to help you make decisions that support quality, consistency, and efficient use of materials. So if you have been wondering "Where can I find premium casting services for custom jewellery in London?" or if you have questions about what are best decisions to make for your production line, please get in touch today, we would love to chat about becoming your production partners.
